Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to specialize in geriatric nursing—a field not readily available in Nepal—Sneha KC made the bold decision to pursue her studies abroad. In 2011, she arrived in Canberra as an international student, ready to start a new chapter in her journey. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new culture and academic environment, she flourished, immersing herself in her studies at the University of Canberra and gaining invaluable experience as an Assistant in Nursing.
With each passing year, Sneha KC advanced through the ranks, taking on leadership roles and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. But her ambitions went beyond the boundaries of the hospital walls. Recognizing the need for systemic change and inspired by the changing environment of her adopted home, she shifted into a new career as a Practice Nurse, continuing to have a significant impact on the lives of others.
Settling in Yerrabi, a vibrant suburb of Canberra, Sneha KC found herself at the centre of community and opportunity. But as she witnessed the city evolve, she couldn't shake the feeling of discontent that gnawed at her soul. Determined to be a catalyst for change, she made the courageous decision to enter the world of politics, where she could amplify her voice and advocate for the issues close to her heart.
Today, Sneha KC stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, dedicated to building a brighter future for all. Through her journey from healing hands to leadership, she has demonstrated the transformative power of compassion, perseverance, and unwavering determination.
